One would think that with two weeks off for spring vacation that I would have had time to blog before now.  Actually, I have had time, but relaxing has been taking up a lot of my time.

School is going well for everyone and we have manged to stay healthy over the last couple months.  Wow, if has been so long since I blogged that I can’t think of everything that has happened in the mean time.

Just recently, Damon got his head shaved for St. Baldrick’s -a charity that raises money for kid’s cancer research.  He set a goal of raising $300 and is almost there.  We are so proud of his accomplishment and willness to support a good cause.

Both kids have been working though some normal insecurities with being adopted, so we have been having fun reminising about when we found out we were going to get them and preparing for them to come home with us.  They were so small.  It seems like just yesterday they were little enough to carry -not anymore :) .

The hi-lite of our spring vacation has been chilling out.  We’ve had a couple snow storms.  One storm arrived as we were on our way to the Colorado Wildlife Wolf Sancutary.  We got to see the wolves very active, because of the snow that coming down.  They even presented us with a natural howl.  It was very cool.  It was a little hairy coming home, but we made it safely and had a great experience.

We’ve also enjoyed some beautiful 60 degree days.  So we got to do some bike and rollerblading, some jogging, some yard stuff, and dog walking.

In between the snow and sun, I was able to finally finish Nola’s curtains.  I think I started them two summers ago.  Mark also got the kids curtain rods (wood poles we found on hikes) stained so we could hang the curtains.

Mark and I also had fun in Durango last weekend -just the two of us.  Some friends watched the kids and some other friends watched the dog and we got to get away.  Durango is a neat area.  We went over one huge pass to get there and back.  We thought we were going to get our first experience with driving with chains, but the chain restrictions were lifted by the time we got to the pass on our way home.  We had a nice relaxing time.

Now we have today and tomorrow and it will be back to the routine of school -only about 7 weeks left.

Love to all,

Laura
